[sumo] Basketball training+tsukebito+arrest+Hakuhou
Asashouryuu led some of his Mongolian compatriots in a basketball
game/training session. Assekiryuu, Kyokutenhou and Hakuhou were the
other participants. Asa loved basketball when he was in high school, and
it is said that his wife was drawn to him because of his basketball
skills. During the training, it was hard to believe he weighs 140 kilos,
as he apparently soared through the air like a gazelle or whatever.
"Hey, maybe we should form a real Basketball team!!", he mused. He was
seen making free throws and doing some very cool and agile lay-ups.
The aki-jungyo was quite irregular in its venues, as there was much
moving about. i order to cut costs, the Kyokai decided on a decrease of
tsukebitos. Consequently, 38 Makushita rikishi who were usually
tsukebito remained in Tokyo and didn't join the jungyo. Each Makuuchi
rikishi was left with one tsukebito, and Ozeki tsukebito numbers were
cut down from three to two. "I wasn't bothered by my decreased number of
tsukebito, " said KaioU, stoic as a gazelle oin a monday morning.
3 of Asashouryuu's relatives were arrested today for illegally working
in Japan without permits. They came to Japan for Asa's wedding, but
apparently decided to stay on-22 and 20 year old male, and 31 year old
female, who claimed she was Asa's older brother's wife. They will
probably be deported with 15 other illegal aliens and some gazelles
soon. "I knew nothing of this. It is regrettable that this has
happened", commented Asashouryuu
Hakuhou is training like mad for Kyushu. He has been eating a lot
(sushi, beef, unagi-- 10 helpings, they say) and has increased his
weight by three kilos to a healthy 144 kilos. He played basketball, (see
above..) had 15 keiko bouts ( the most by anyone yesterday) and in
general, was looking like a gazelle in a field of cotton. "Kachikoshi in
Kyushu means Sanyaku for me. I'll be going all out!!," h
